Tenement / Screaming Females
In summer of 2008, we embarked on our second major tour - a several week stretch of time on the road with a few shows and many holes in the schedule. While hanging around in Columbus, Ohio with an expected night off, we received a phone call with an offer of a show at The Fort in Brooklyn, New York with This Bike is a Pipe Bomb and Shellshag. We were also informed of a basement show that the Screaming Females were playing in New Brunswick, New Jersey that night as well. So we followed our intuition and rushed our bus to New Brunswick, catching the last song in the Screamales’ set. The decision proved to be fateful and by the end of the evening we had made new friends in music and in spirit. We waited several years to collaborate somehow, but this single and the tour it was released for became the billboard of our friendship for the greater public.
